EDUCATING FOR LIFE, EDUCATING FOR DEATH: DEATH LITERACY AND THE SPIRITUAL DIMENSION IN EDUCATIONAL AND HEALTHCARE TRAINING PATHWAYS
Abstract
Educating for life inevitably entails educating for death. This theoretical essay explores how health and educational training can integrate death education, death literacy, and spiritual competence to sustain professionals in facing the ultimate human limit. Narrative medicine and educational care are presented as key frameworks for transforming end-of-life encounters into spaces of meaning, responsibility, and relational depth.
