LEARNING THROUGH ART AND SCIENCE: THE EFFECTIVENESS OF STEAM OUTDOOR TEACHING IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Abstract
The study explores outdoor teaching with a STEAM approach in primary schools, focusing on science–art interaction. The intervention, using natural pigments for artistic activities, involved 150 students (including those with autism), split into experimental and control groups. A mixed-method design showed significant gains in well-being, relationships, self-efficacy, and motivation. Interviews confirmed a more inclusive climate, proving STEAM outdoor education fosters learning and inclusion.
