BRIDGING THE GAP: EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND WELLBEING FOR DIVERSE HEALTH STATUSES IN AGING POPULATIONS
Abstract
In a comparative study of patients with Parkinson’s disease and geriatric frailty, we assessed motor and non-motor symptoms, anxiety, and social exclusion factors. Structural disparities increase isolation in both groups. Our findings show that robotics and telemedicine help reduce social stigma, anxiety, and negative illness perception. They also improve motor symptoms, supporting inclusion and emotional well-being and advancing a more equitable and connected model of care.
