PHYSICAL LITERACY AND ACTIVE BREAKS IN SCHOOL THAT PROMOTE HEALTH: GUIDELINES FOR TEACHER TRAINING
Abstract
In the National context there is a worrying increase in sedentary behaviors among school-age children. Physical Literacy becomes particularly significant. Active breaks can serve as an effective educational strategy to promote health. However, the effectiveness of such interventions relies on teachers’ competence. Specific training in methodologies for teaching physical activity needed to enable teachers to plan inclusive and interdisciplinary interventions.
