Abstract

This study examines the institutional formalisation of technological innovation in assessment across 40 accredited European online universities. Through a comparative documentary analysis, it investigates the visibility of Artificial Intelligence, learning analytics, and immersive technologies within assessment-related documentation. Findings show that learning analytics is the most institutionalised area, while AI and immersive technologies remain less formally embedded in assessment ecosystems.
