INFORMED CONSENT:THE FOUNDATION OF HUMANISTIC MEDICINE

Abstract


This article analyses the educational perspectives of informed consent, understood as a fundamental ethical tool for medicine based on proximity, responsibility and human dignity. It explores the evolution of the concept from  “obligation to inform” to a shared decision-making, essential for building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect between doctor and patient. It emphasises the importance of targeted training for future healthcare professionals.

Questo articolo analizza le prospettive educative del consenso informato, inteso come strumento etico fondamentale per una medicina di prossimità, responsabilità e dignità umana. Si esplora l'evoluzione del concetto da “obbligo di informare” a  condivisione decisionale, essenziale per costruire una relazione terapeutica basata sulla fiducia e sul rispetto reciproco tra medico e paziente. Si sottolinea l'importanza di una formazione mirata per i futuri professionisti sanitari.
