PEDAGOGY OF CARE AND CENTRALITY OF THE PERSON: THE EDUCATIONAL VALUE OF BODILY AND EMOTIONAL DIMENSIONS

Francesca Latino, Emma Saraiello

Abstract

This contribution explores the pedagogical value of bodily and emotional dimensions in university programs within the medical-health area, highlighting their role as a foundation for a pedagogy of care centered on the person. Integrating body and emotions into education fosters awareness, empathy, and ethical responsibility, promoting an educational and professional approach that combines technical competence with relational and human sensitivity.
