ESPORTS IN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION: A NEW WAY TO LEARN?

Abstract


This study examines university students’ perspectives on esports in higher education. Competitive gaming, framed through gamification, is analyzed in relation to academic performance and skills development. Esports facilities on campuses foster engagement and community building. The paper highlights the emergence of esports curricula and degree programs, underscoring their role in shaping new educational paradigms and supporting students’ holistic growth.
