GENERATIVE-AI AS RESOURCE AGAINST THE “BRAIN ROT”

Abstract


In 2024 “brain rot” has been named the “word of the year” by the Oxford English dictionary and it refers to an uncritical overconsumption of low-quality online content. In this context the Generative AI could be became an educational instrument to fight the brain rot enhancing the critical thinking about texts and images. The Ai, used in a methodologically correct way, could become a key inclusive technology to go beyond the rivalry between image and text.
