IMPROVING ATHLETES' PERFORMANCE BY PROMOTING AN ETHICAL AND INCLUSIVE APPROACH TO SPORT
Abstract
The Paralympic Movement has evolved significantly over the past few decades, reflecting advances in sports science, technology, and inclusive policies. This Article explores the intersection of ethics, inclusion, and performance improvement in Paralympic Sports, analyzing the key challenges and opportunities associated with its development. Aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, in particular Goal 10 (Reducing Inequalities), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), this study highlights the need for an equitable sports ecosystem that provides equitable access to resources and opportunities for all athletes.
