UNIVERSITY AS AGENT OF CHANGE IN TERMS OF INCLUSION IN WORKING ENVIRONMENTS

Abstract

Education can be considered an agent of change and one of the primary aims is to create feasible and inclusive pathways to strategically favour the realization of values and social change.

The authors explore the role that universities can have in terms of agents of change for inclusion in the work environment, giving some methodological approaches. In this context, they assume a substantial educational and societal role within the community, thanks to their networks within both business and social services at the local level. Beyond aiding enrolled students and youths not enrolled, Universities have to educate the environment in terms of equality and inclusion.  The results emerging from the literature analysis carried out during the IN-WORK (inclusive Communities at Work) project funded by the Erasmus + European Community will be presented.
