SURVEY ON THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION AND SCHOOLS
Abstract
With the surge in scholarly investigations pertaining to artificial intelligence (AI) within the educational domain, numerous academics within this field contend that the role of educators, educational institutions, and educational leaders will undergo transformation. In light of this, the aim of this study is to scrutinize the plausible scenarios that may ensue with the advent of AI in education, as well as to unveil the implications it may hold for the future of educational establishments. The research was designed as a phenomenological study, a qualitative research method, in which the opinions of participants from different sectors were examined. The findings reveal that educational institutions and educators will be furnished with novel resources, advantages, and simultaneously encounter disadvantages upon the integration of AI in education. The results also offer recommendations for the utilization of AI and the mitigation of potential issues. While the majority of participants generally demonstrate positive attitudes towards AI, there are also certain drawbacks, notably underscored by educators and scholars, concerning the future of pedagogy.
