OUTDOOR EDUCATION FOR SCHOOL INCLUSION IN ITALY: AN OVERVIEW OF THEORETICAL CONCEPTS, FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Abstract


Throughout our lives we learn in different types of contexts, whether social or physical, allowing us to develop under different aspects. The same goes for school: not only we learn within a classroom, but we develop skills and knowledge in the school garden too. In today’s education, Outdoor Education contributes to respond to the needs and skills required by today's society (resilience, empathy, conflict resolution, inclusiveness, and so on).
