Journal History

The journal is intended to be a space in which to promote and develop issues related to Educational Neuroscience, inclusive education, special pedagogy and new technologies.
Thus, a single thread of scientific research is outlined, which is declined within the aforementioned areas, all of which accumulate the same ultimate goal: the well-being and quality of life of the individual.
It is intended to welcome contributions that make improvements to the state of the art, exploiting the idea of multidisciplinarity to the extent that the potential of Neuroscience and technological innovation are harnessed within an educational context, which responds effectively and functionally to the specificity of each individual and the possible atypicality of the same.
The journal responds to the need to rethink the figure of the individual within the educational and training context; the teacher, as well as the learner, reflect in these environments a new and ever-increasing complexity, hence the need to expand, renew and rethink teaching through:

- The creation of a trait d'union between Educational Neuroscience and teaching methodologies, in order to have a more comprehensive view of the functioning of the person's cognitive processes;
- A focus on the corporeality of the individual, considering the body a primary channel of training and information;
- A focus on the biopsychosocial dimension of the individual, in which we respect the specificity of each person and move toward the creation of inclusive learning environments and teaching methods derived from the connection between typicality and atypicality;
- Awareness of the need to harness the potential of new technologies in order to create teaching methodologies that consider the need to anchor themselves in the cultural reality of the digitally native learner.

It is therefore intended to provide a productive space for reflection that can help direct research in the fields declined above, creating a network of progress aimed at improving the dimensions that help determine the individual.
